Choose the Mediterranean Sea or Mar Menor Beaches where the waters are warm & shallow for families, famous for its therapeutic mud baths to heal skin complaints & rheumatic ailments. There is a nature reserve on the salt flats which has bird life & flamingo’s, alternatively just a short drive to several golf courses in the area including the famous La Manga course. San Pedro is a typical Spanish town, markets on Mondays, tapas bars & restaurants. Areas such as Murcia steeped in history, Alicante & Cartegena not too far to visit. This area boasts mild winters, warm summer months & very low annual rainfall.
Facing the tranquil waters of the Mar Menor, San Pedro del Pinatar is one of the main tourist destinations along the Murcia Coast & this is the hottest part of Spain. The main attractions are around the beach & shore. Next to the long promenade facing the Mar Menor are the extensive beaches of La Puntica and La Curva, combined with the facilities at its marina, means you can do a great number of water sports, such as sailing, scuba diving or windsurfing. 3 Championship Golf Courses withing 15 mins drive mean golf enthusiasts are well catered for including the renowned La Manga Club another 7 being constructed. San Pedro is also home to the Saltwater Nature Reserve, a unique Mediterranean coastal spot, Flamingos & other migratory birds rest here every year using the Nature Reserve. A typical Spanish town with tapas bars, restaurants and shops, surrounding the main church in the square. The flat area is ideal for cycling where bikes are readily available for hire.
The Apartment: Ground floor apartment, with large patio area, the lounge has brown leather sofa, and additional chair. Extendable dining table with open plan kitchen. All rooms are tastefully furnished in neutral colours. Air-conditioning can be turned from cold to warm for winter months, each room contains extra thick blankets during the winter. 2 Buggies and a travel cot are available to use, and kept in the apartment. A fully equipped kitchen with additional items including iron, ironing board and clothes dryer. TV and DVD with Cd player, should you wish to bring your own films or music. 2 Adult Bikes kept in the rear apartment storage area, including locks and a bike trailer, which can seat 2 small children. 2 childrens car booster seats also kept in the apartment, available to use. This is a non smoking apartment, but guests may smoke on the patio area outside only. Please supply own beach towels. Owners, beach chairs, parasol, beach activity equipment and inflatables can be used.
Golf: The property is in an ideal location for those interested in playing Golf, there are several courses within 15 minutes drive. ideally situated for golfers. Only 30mins drive from La Manga Club, 15mins to Villamartin, Las Ramblas and Real Campoamor. New courses such as Roda golf & Mar golf are 5 min. Mosa Trajectum and Torre Golf are only 15min away. Shopping Malls: Dos Mares is located on the AP-7 back towards Murcia 2km away (approx 5 min drive) to Junction 777 with two floors of modern shops, cafes and cinema. A large shopping mall is also located at Torrevieja 20 drive minute away. A FULL INFORMATION PACK WITH MAPS, LEAFLETS OF ALL PLACES OF INTEREST AND ATTRACTIONS IS HELD IN THE APARTMENT.
Lo Pagan: A pleasant Beach resort with numerous bars and restaurants filling the warm summer air with the aroma of cooked local seafood. The beaches of the Mar Menor with soft sand and shallow water make them ideal for children. Take a leisurely stroll along the miles of promenade shaded by palm trees. Nightlife is plentiful with clubs and street cafes, outside shows and beach activities plus a fairground. Not forgetting of course the numerous local fiestas having carnivals and live music. In the winter months it is very restful but there are still a plenty of bars, restaurants and shops available. For your every day needs a supermarket is just around the corner with banks, chemists, etc., all nearby.Famous for its therapeutic mud. Hundreds of Spaniards come to the local salt lakes to cover themselves head to foot in mud, stroll along the sea wall whilst the mud bakes then bathe in the Mar Menor.
.... The mud is said to have a number of healing properties. Whilst the salt lakes are a thriving local industry still producing salt for export part of the wetlands are now a nature reserve protecting various animal and bird life including flamencos. There is a designated footpath through the lakes for sightseers and birdwatchers. Go over the sand dunes and you are on the Mediterranean Sea. Follow the road through the salt lakes and this will take you to the fishing port and international marina which is currently being modernised introducing more restaurants and facilities.

Winter Blankets are provided for the colder months.* We try not rent the apartment out the same day as someone else's arrival or departure, so leaving and arriving at the apartment is more flexible if you have late departures, we ask that you let us know your flight times on booking so that the keyholder can track your flight times. Airport collection from Murcia (San Javier) and Alicante can be arranged for you (payable locally.)* If you are arriving on a late flight we can arrange for some basic necessities to be purchased and placed in the apartment ready for your arrival ie. milk, bread, water, jam, cheese etc. Payable locally to the key holder in Euros on arrival, who will give you a receipt for the purchases made.|
