Only a couple of minutes walk from the bright lights of the" Village" but quiet enough to fall asleep to the sounds of the sea. It has a very good sized balcony/terrace over-looking the wonderful beaches and the seven kilometer Paseo, with sweeping vistas over the Mediterranean, Fuengirola Bay, the Marina to the west........and beyond. Really charming little Spanish house, called 'El Dique' by the Columbian professor, Lola de Amador, who used to live there, thirty-six years ago, when I first stayed in Fuengirola, and fell in love with the town and especially with 'El Dique!' Fuengirola has grown hugely in the intervening years, but my little house remains as quirky and delightful as ever. The beach used to be at the bottom of the garden, before the 'Paseo Maritimo', or promenade, was built. Now, you must go out the gate (which locks), and down the street, a walk of two minutes, or if you run into a neighbour, and drop into Jimmy's Bar, or go for a coffee, on the Paseo, or a quick snack, or or or....don·t rush, it·s Spain ! The beach is so close, waiting for you.
