Apartment in Marbella area, Costa del Sol, Spain: This spacious luxury apartment is located in the relaxing and secure La Maestranza complex with its beautiful landscaped gardens, 2 large swimming pools and children's pool. The apartment is fully furnished to a high standard with a fully equipped kitchen, SKY TV, DVD, hot/cold air conditioning throughout, and a balcony with views of the mountains. The 2 roomy bedrooms (both with a bathroom) are located diagonally opposite each other within the apartment so 2 families can stay, yet retain their privacy.

The apartment has sufficient bedding, seating and crockery for 6 people with linen and bathroom towels also provided. It also has a travel cot. The nearest supermarket is a 3 minute walk and there are an abundance of good restaurants and bars close by. For the golfers, you are at the entrance to golf valley with 5 golf courses within a 10 minute drive while at the same time you are a 2 minute drive away (15 minute walk) from the beaches and nightlife of the famous Puerto Banus marina.

La Maestranza is an easy 40 minute drive from Malaga airport and can be found between 'Golf Valley' and the lively marina and beaches of Puerto Banus, famous for its designer shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The development is a village style complex of 3 storey apartments in the style of an Andalucian village with its classic white walls, red roofs and quiet walkways. Its 2 swimming pools are surrounded by beautiful gardens providing ample space to sunbathe or there are golden beaches a 2 minute drive away. The elegant resort of Marbella is a 10 minute drive away (30 minute boat trip) or for those fancying something more cultural Granada and Sevilla are within driving distance. Try a trip to Africa - only an hour by boat from Tarifa. There are a variety of good local golf courses available or within an hour you can be at Valderrama.

Puerto Banus: Has a wide variety boutiques, designer shops and a magnificent El Cortes Ingles department store to while away many hours. There are the restaurants surrounding the marina with all sorts of international cuisine or simply relax and have a drink at one of the many cafes and bars and look out at all the impressive boats and watch the people go by. Alternatively, try the restaurants on what I have nicknamed 'Restaurant Row' where there are 5 or 6 restaurants which would grace any city in the space of 200 yards and they are only a 5 minute walk from La Maestranza. Perhaps a little old for the nightlife myself my children tell me there is plenty to be found in Puerto Banus along with the casino

Golf / Skiing Information: The apartment really is situated at the mouth of Golf Valley. Aloha golf course is literally a 3 minute walk from the apartment. Los Naranjos and Las Brisas are less than a 5 minute drive away and the course at La Quinta is less than 10 minutes away. There are many other courses on the Costa del Sol the most famous being Valderrama which is about an hours drive away. La Maestranza may not be on the course itself but the beauty is you can choose which course you play on which day and when you come back to the apartment, and after a decent hot shower, the nightlife and restaurants of Pueto Banus are on your doorstep. In winter I am told that if you go up to Granada, about an hour and a half drive, you will find good skiing conditions. I am no skier but it would be a strange if not enjoyable excursion to mix golf, sun and skiing.

Directions / On Location: I can assure you it is under a 40 minute journey from the airport even if you comply with the local speed limits! All but about 4 kilometres is on the same motorway. On paying the balance of the rental charges I will provide you with some simple directions to get to the apartment. I have an agent who can deal with any problems who lives about 100 yards from the apartment. I have been many times to my apartment and can thoroughly recommend it to you. I have also left a booklet on the shops, the local chemist etc, things to do and my favourite bars and restaurants ranging from the local tapas bars to the good Spanish restaurants to Yanx which serves fantastic burgers and ribs.
