Drive a little further south on the same road & climb the dizzy heights of Altea town to the square & visit the blue domed church visible from the motorway on route from Alicante to Moraira. Take your pick of lunch offered from restaurants on the square. Sample the breathtaking view from Benidorm 180 degrees north to Calpe Rock. Visit the beautiful beaches of Benidorm, sample the shopping & delights of this busy town or book an evening for the fabulous show at Benidorm Palace with dinner & drink. Travel inland & located on the CV-70, 25km from Altea, is the village of Guadalest. How to get there: Fly to Alicante & drive north approximately 1 hour or fly to Valencia and drive south approximately 1hr 15 minutes, using Autopista Mediterreana 7 (AP7) toll motorway. Airlines from UK- Ryanair, Jet2, Bmibaby, Easyjet, Thomsonfly, are reasonably cheap.
