Location: Situated in the area of Almeria, Mojacar offers more than 17 kilometers of unspoilt beaches. The romantic old village is perched high on a hill of whitewashed houses, cool courtyards and narrow cobbled streets. It overlooks Mojacar playa and the blue mediterranean. Throughout the ages it has been a focal point for artists and writers, and set against a backdrop of the Sierra Cabrera mountain range, the village retains much of its original charm and authentic atmosphere. Whether sailing ,fishing, bowling, tennis, golf or watersports takes your fancy or simply relaxing on an uncrowded beach you will find it all and more in and around Mojacar. Golf: There are 4 golf courses within 15 minutes drive. Marina golf course is situated between Mojacar Playa and Garrucha and is the closest at approx 5 minutes drive. Cortijo Grande golf course is situated approx 2 miles inland of the town of Turre . This course has fantastic scenery as it is set below the cabrerra mountains, but the course is more for fun golfers than those more serious. For the more serious the valle de este course near Vera would be more suitable and also the desert springs golf course near Cueves de Almanzora. |
