A newly built Marina sits on the front with it's multitude of expensive craft, and nearby is the working fishing port where the catch is landed twice a day; and then consumed fresh in the local restaurants! Sea fishing, Diving & Watersports are also available locally. A large market is held in Puerto every Sunday morning. Don't miss Sunday lunctime at the Meson El Salidillo where customers are entertained by Spanish dancing horses. How to get there: Your nearest airport is San Javier (MJV) about a 35/40 minutes drive on the new toll road through the coastal mountains. Alicante and Almeria airports also serve the area, and with good motorways links are only 90 minutes away. Easyjet, Ryanair and Jet2.com are just some of the low cost airlines that fly in to the area. Car Hire is recommended to get the most from your villa holiday. We are happy to use Goldcar Rental - www.goldcar.es but there is plenty of choice both online and at the airport. The roads in Murcia are very good and reasonably quiet. The clear directions supplied will get you to your holiday villa in no time! Transfers to and from the Airport, for those not collecting a car, can be arranged (local charges apply).
