Costa Calida has the least amount of rainy days of all Spain's Costas, and is claimed as one of the healthiest climates in Europe. The two large towns are Murcia and Cartagena both historical but Cartagena has always been a naval base and remains so till this day. There are marinas in Cartagena and Pueblo de mazarron. There are fine beaches in Mazarron bay and at the Resor of Bolnuevo as well as undeveloped bays and coves to the SW. The Sierra espuna mountains to the north offer fine views, picnicking and for the more adventurous lovely walks.
The area is steeped in history with relics from the Phoenicians, Cartheginians, Romans, visigoths and Arabs underlying the Catholic Christian roots of the past six centuries. Leisure facilities abound in the area- the sea is a heaven for water enthusiasts and facilities for rowing, diving, sailing, fishing, water skiing and paragliding are available. The beaches are clean, attractive and safe for everyone. Murcia and Cartagena are close for some serious shopping and cultural visits.

Mazarron Country Club Area: 10 min from Puerto de Mazarron which is a small fishing port on Costa Calida. Shops are 10 minutes drive away. Small convenience store 5 mins away. Markets at Totana- 20kms. Mazarron Port- 10min driving. There are loads of restaurants and local shops (fresh fish and Paella). New Harbour in Port, scuba-diving in Mazarron Port, fishing available. The beaches in the are are plentiful and as such are all very different: you can find very quiet beaches or natural beaches. A short drive from the pretty market town of Mazarron, golf course 5 min up to the road. Enjoy the winter and summer sunshine.
Winter temperature: 12 to 22 degrees. Summer temperature: 18 to 38 degrees.
How to get there: Mazarron Country Club is easily accessible from 3 Airports in the region. All of these airports offer a choice of flights either with the low-cost budget airlines or with many scheduled airlines.
