Fantastic villa with private pool, BBQ, lush gardens & panoramic views!
A gorgeous, newly built stone villa, set in magnificent gardens, with large sweeps of lawn charmingly dotted with flowers and trees, all overlooking a delightful semi rural view of the northern central Majorcan countryside. It has a large shady terrace, and being in an elevated position, is refreshed with balmy cool breezes. At night the lit up church from the neighbouring village of Ariany lends a romantic, medieval atmosphere. The villa consists of 2 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a well appointed kitchen, with open plan dining and living area, and extra sleeping available on the mezzanine floor over the kitchen. The style of the villa is rustic, with high ceilings and wood beams. The outdoor swimming pool is nestled invitingly in paved stone surroundings, which flow on from the terrace and built-in barbecue, and leads onto the lovely garden area. The villa is a short stroll from the typical Majorcan village of Maria de la Salut, which is well away from the mainstream tourism.
Unspoilt Mallorca: Northern central Mallorca is rural, unspoilt, and untouched by mass tourism. Walk from the villa into the tiny village of Maria de la Salut, and you will only see local Majorcans, giving you a friendly smile as they go about their business. Join them in the evenings as they gather in the village square, enjoying the cool of the evening, for a feeling of stepping back into time. The village has 3 or 4 very good restaurants, where you can sample the excellent local Majorcan cuisine, along with international dishes. In August, there is a night market every Friday, selling locally made produce. On the last Friday in August, there is a medieval fair - a very special once a year event!
From the villa, the guests can enjoy a lovely view across the countryside, with the sea and the surrounding mountains of Colonia San Pedro in the distance. It is well worth a visit to this charming and unspoilt fishing village - for a swim, the views, or an 'al fresco' meal on the seafront.

'Far from the madding crowd' would sum up this beautiful villa. It is located on the edge of the small rural village of Maria de la Salut - where life is still based on local traditions, not mass tourism!
The village is a 5min walk from the finca, and has small locally run grocers and bakeries etc. for daily provisions. For larger supermarkets, Ca'n Picafort or Inca have a good selection. There are a handful of good restaurants in the village, serving tasty local Majorcan dishes, and international cuisine.
The nearest beach is the Bay of Alcudia - a 12km long beach with pristine white sand, with the popular beach resorts of Ca'n Picafort (15 mins) and Puerto Alcudia (25 mins) drive away.
Near the finca (about 400 mts), there is a small blockwork factory. Although nearly defunct, a low background noise may occasionally be heard from this site. It is almost completely hidden, and does not detract from the wonderful views from the finca, or disturb the countryside peace and quiet.
Sineu - neighbouring town: Just 6km away, and with a daily bus service, is the town of Sineu. This is a much larger village, and has a good variety of shopping, bars, cafes, and many excellent restaurants. However, it is best known for its farmer´s market every Wednesday morning. Here, as well as fresh fruit and vegetables, clothing, shoes, and handicrafts, you can find antiques,and a variety of live animals for sale, including sheep, horses, donkeys, chickens, and even puppies and kittens! (Popular with children!) Sineu also connects by train to Inca (famous for shoes and leather produce) and onto Palma, the capital.
From Inca, it is a short drive up into the traumantana mountain range of the west coast - rugged, with spectacular views, and charming villages such as Valldemossa, Deya and Soller.
To the east, the town of Manacor (easily reached by car or rail), is well known for its cultivated pearls. Near here is Porto Cristo and the world famous caves of 'Cuevas del Drach'.

The third sleeping area is on the mezzanine floor, accessed by a wooden stairway from the dining area. The entire floor area is wood parquet, and on this is a futon style mattress,1.50m by 2m. ( All of the beds are 2m long ). While being perfectly suitable for adults, this is a popular place to sleep for children, as they find it a lot of fun!
The main bedroom has a queen sized double bed (160 x 200cm), a dressing table with mirror, and a built in wardrobe. This room has double French doors which open out onto the terrace and lovely views. The 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds with wrought iron bedheads, built in wardrobe, a dressing table with a mirror, and a window with views over the garden.

The bathroom is light and airy, with mosaic tiling done in a very attractive way. Over the washbasin is a large mirror with tiled surrounds, and the shower enclosure is built in, and all completely tiled. The washing machine is discreetly installed in a cupboard, and beside it is an area for soiled laundry - making it very practical and easy for washing clothes!

The kitchen, dining room and living area is all open plan, and leads out to the terrace.
There is a 3 and 2 seater sofa in the living area, providing seating for 5 people.
Due to the traditional thick walls of this villa, the house stays cool in summer and warm in winter.
Dining Area
There is a feature stone wall in the kitchen, in keeping with the rustic style of the villa. The dining table, made of attractive solid wood with seagrass dining chairs, seats up to 6. In the summer, most meals are taken on the terrace for dining 'al fresco'. Here there is a large table and chairs for 6 people.
There is also a highchair provided.
There is a wood burning pot belly stove in the living area to keep the whole house warm and cosy in the winter.
