In a very secure (24hr on-site security and gated), private and exclusive holiday location right on a 9 hole golf course designed by Dave Thomas(soon to be 18). The villa is located close to Los Narejos beach (5 minutes by car), this beach has been one of only five Spanish beaches to be awarded the Q mark for quality. The villa is new and has been designed to cater for all your needs, we have a 6 x3 swimming pool in the garden. The villa is furnished to a very high standard and has all anyone would need for a perfect holiday break, including Sky TV

The kitchen is well appointed with washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. Both bedrooms have a/c and very ample wardrobes. The living room has large patio doors to the front and rear allowing lots of sunlight, with electric shutters. There is a comfortable sofa bed in the living room. The villa has two terraces, perfect for peace and quiet. The Mar Menor slopes gently and is warmer than the med. This makes it ideal for kids.

Los Alcazares (pronounced 'los-alcatha-res') is situated in the Murcia region of south-eastern Spain, also known as the Costa Calida. The town sits on the western shore of the Mar Menor, a saltwater lagoon separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a 22 kilometre long strip of land called La Manga. The area enjoys an average of 320 days of sunshine each year. Bars, cafes and restaurants provide drinks, tapas, meals and entertainment, and the warm water of the Mar Menor helps make the town a paradise for bathers and watersports enthusiasts. The mineral-rich water of the Mar Menor is revered for its health-giving properties and the town still has thermal baths which have existed since Roman times. The fertile countryside (la huerta) inland supplies the local markets with fresh produce which is also exported to northern Europe, especially during the winter when local farmers take advantage of the comparatively warm weather.

Polaris World Golf Resort: This is the first of four golf resorts that Polaris World built. It now has a 5 Star Hotel which will service the Villas if required, and a huge range of on-site services to ensure that your stay is pleasurable and memorable but hassle free. Once the other resorts are completed, there will be reciprocal membership of the other Resorts and their golf courses. In the meantime, enjoy the golf at Campoamor, Villamartin, Las Ramblas and La Manga Club to name but a few. The Mar Menor Golf Resort is 9 hole and a pleasure to play. The club house has a great communal pool and one for toddlers.There is a bar and restaurant that also does food at lunchtime. There is a great bar on the first fllor too for evenings, with live music (not every day) open till 2.00. The supermarket in on-site and has all you need for the holiday and is reasonably priced. There is a local Indian that delivers if you get homesick called Casa India!!

Value for Money: Compared to other villa's for rent on the La Manga complex, this offers very good value for money, saving 40% in some cases. With La manga only a short drive away, and with it's 3 golf courses, state of the art tennis complex, casino and fine restaurants (all open to non-residents), this is a cost-effective alternative place to stay, but with no compromise in the standard of the accommodation. The gently sloping shallow waters of the Mar Menor mean that it is warmer than the Mediterranean, this makes it safer for young children as it is very placid and there is very good visibility across the water.You can walk out for many meters with the warm water still only lapping your thighs and with no big waves or strong currents relax and enjoy your day at the beach. With plenty of cafes and bars dotted along the beach it's a great way to spend the day and soak up the sun.

Golf: Polaris World currently have 2 Jack Nicklaus courses open and another 2 will be open later this year with more to follow over the next few years creating the unique Nicklaus Trail. The 18-hole course at La Torre and the 9-hole at Mar Menor are both beautiful courses and you'd never know that both courses are so new. As a Polaris resident or guest you get to experience the facilities of all resorts and also get to play all of the courses. Exceptional deals are available to allow you to take full advantage of some superb golf. The amenities in the amazing golf club are superb. La Torre offers a challenging course with plenty of water difficulties and long wide bunkers too. Apart from the Nicklaus Trail, there are plenty of other outstanding courses close by for you to enjoy too; La Manga, Los Rambles, Finca Park, Roda Golf, Hacienda del Alamo to name but a few. Golf on Polaris resorts is around 50 to 65 Euros per round with club hire from 15 euros per set. Polaris do have good deals.

Getting there: It's even easier to get to Murcia airport now from the UK. There are loads of low cost carriers flying from the UK, with the Resort only a short drive away you won;t waste time in a car. Fly to Murcia (aka San Javier) from the following airports: Gatwick, Luton, Stansted, East Midlands, Leeds-Bradford, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Southampton and Glasgow.
