Our Duplex is set in the Spanish town of Los Alcazares, on the Mar Menor, renowned for its rich therapeutic mineral water. The Historical town of Cartagena just 15 minutes drive ,and the beautiful Architectural city of Murcia 45 minutes drive away. Murcia is also renowned for its great fashion shops and beautiful sights.

Relax on the patio with a drink after a busy day on the beach (only 7 mins walk) or just sit back and soak up the sun on the solarium after a lovely swim in the pool before breakfast. Tennis , Golf , Go-Karting etc only short distance away.

Los Alcazares is set on the 'Mar Menor' saltwater lagoon. Where is Los Alcazares ? Located in the SE of Spain (Murcia Region) Nearest Airport Murcia, San Javier - 3 km Nearest Beach Los Alcazares - 0.5 km Nearest Train Station La Union - 7 km The Costa Calida extends along 250km from the beach of Carolina in Aguilas, a few kilometers from the province of Almeria, to the beach at El Mojon on the boundary with Alicante. This stretch of Murcian coastline is blessed with 315 days of sunshine a year and an average temperature of 17 degrees. The area offers a diverse selection of activities for the visitor including all manner of water sports, hiking, hill-climbing and much more. Encompassed in the Costa Calida are: Cartagena with its wealth of archaeological treasures including a recently discovered Roman theatre, many museums and a port who's history spans 3,000 years. The Mar Menor is the 'world's largest pool' and sits in the southeast of Murcia. It is a shallow lagoon of 170 square km with warm waters and gentle winds. It is known to be one of the best places in Europe to learn water sports. First the Phoenicians then later the Arab Kings made this 'little sea' their summer retreat. The Mar Menor is separated from the Mediterranean by a narrow strip of land only 22km wide, called La Manga del Mar Menor and you can look across the mar menor at the la Manga strip from the beaches at Los Alcazares.

Los Alcazares/ Los Narejos Area: Los Alcazares (pronounced 'los-alcatha-res') is situated in the Murcia region of south-eastern Spain, also known as the Costa Calida. You will be spoilt for choice with the many restaurants/Bars all within walking distance. The choice ranges from Spanish, Chinese, Indian, Italian, European & English. Our favourites are Ramon (spanish), Hong Kong ( chinese), Hindustani ( Indian), Angela's ( Italian), La Diva (European) and The Penny Farthing for the good old Sunday roast !! A short 6 min drive of taxi ride will take you to two fabulous golf courses , one in either direction. Tennis just a short walk and you can have lessons if you like. Go-Karting 5mins drive. All types of watersports available on our gorgeous beach just 7 mins walk away. Pool tables also at various locations. Summer Carnival during July & August.

Comments in the visitors books but to reiterate Stuart an absolute gem, the accommodation really clean and welcoming, the solarium brilliant, the area and location very nice, recommend the fresco bistro much better than Angelos, would avoid school holidays next time but we are a mature couple! also thought your prompt reply to e-mails very helpful. .... Hi Mick and Marina, Just returned to Edinburgh yesterday after two fantastic weeks in Spain!! Lovely house and perfectly located near the pool, very handy especially with the wee ones, you always forget to bring something out with you! Thanks again for organising transfers with Stuart, and he also very kindly let us hold on to the house until 4pm on our departure date.
