Spacious two-bedroom apartment with sunny balcony and amazing views

Located just across the new El Estacio bridge at the northern end of La Manga dele Mar Menor, this complex of six apartment blocks has an outdoor swimming pool, todders' pool, mini-tennis court and a large supermarket. Activities nearby include an enormous range of water sports, diving, fishing and a 9-hole golf course. The Marina is a 20-minute walk (or 3 min. drive) with a ‘café lifestyle’ of French, Greek, Mexican & Spanish bars and restaurants. Children’s dishes are readily available. Depending on the time of year, you can hire a car, rent a bike, organise days out, take a boat trip or go scuba-diving. A ferry runs from the Marina to the mainland at San Javier and the well-known La Manga Golf Club is just a 30 minute drive away.

We have taken great care in choosing the fixtures and fittings to provide a very comfortable “home from home”. The lounge area has a double-bed settee seating three, plus an additional two-seater sofa (which converts to a double bed). We have provided Satellite TV, DVD, and a radio that plays audio CDs and MP3 CDs. The dining area has an extending table and six dining chairs. There is a separate well-eqipped kitchen and laundry area with washing machine & large sink. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom has two full-size single beds. Cot and highchair available. And there are two bathrooms. There is a supermarket two or three minutes walk away, with two restaurants and two beaches within a ten-minute stroll.

	The main bedroom has patio doors onto the main balcony and contains a king-size bed, chest of drawers, bedside tables and a built-in wardrobe with additional drawers. The second bedroom has patio doors to its own south-facing mini-balcony, also with views over the marina. The bedroom contains two 3ft single beds, chest of drawers, bedside table and a built-in wardrobe with additional drawers. The sofabed in the lounge has a comfortable double mattress and there is additional storage space in the lounge wall unit for 5th/6th occupants of the apartment.

	There are two bathrooms. The main bathroom has a full bath/shower, washbasin, toilet and bidet. The second bathroom has a shower, washbasin and toilet.

The Costa Calida: The Costa Calida (Warm Coast) area is reputed to have one of the most pleasant climates in the world - according to the World Health Organisation. There are so many reasons for coming to this area & many people who come as holiday makers recognize this & eventually return to live here. The Costa Calida stretches from the Mar Menor south to Almeria - where the Costa del Sol commences. Being in the southern region of Spain, Murcia offers one of the most pleasant climates in Europe. With mild winters, hot (but not oppressive) summers & an average of 320 sunny days a year. The average hours of sunshine per day ranges from around 6 hours in winter to a full 12 hours at the height of summer. This compares to the London average of 1 hour in January / February to a maximum of 7 hours in June. Rain on the Costa Calida is rare, especially in the summer months - the total annual rainfall averages 5 to 6 cm (2 to 2 1/2 inches) on the coastal plain, although the inland mountainous areas are wetter.

La Manga del Mar Menor: The La Manga Strip is a unique location in Europe , it is a strip of land 21 Km long and 300 metres wide (average). La Manga means ‘sleeve’ and it is a strip of land which separates the Mediterranean Sea from the Mar Menor (Small Sea). Along it’s coast on both sides, there are beautiful ‘Blue Flag’ beaches with white sands, ideal for family holidays. Even in the height of the season, they never get ‘packed’ and claustrophobic. The Mar Menor is the largest lagoon in Europe and has a surface area of 130 sq km and a maximum depth of 8 metres. The crystal clear waters are warm, calm and rich in salts and minerals, in fact the temperature never falls below 18degrees. In certain areas of the Mar Menor the therapeutic clays can be found, these are a favourite with the Spanish tourists, who cover themselves with the clay and then bake in the hot sun. It is said to be good for skin complaints, rheumatism and arthritis etc. There is a range of activities to keep the whole family amused for hours

How to get there: A number of low-cost airlines fly direct to Murcia (San Javier) airport from Birmingham, Manchester and other UK airports, and the apartment is only 40 minutes drive. You can also fly into Alicante, if you don’t mind a drive of approximately an hour and a half. But the roads are good and the drive is easy. Don’t forget prices for low-cost airlines can change almost hour by hour, so it’s worth checking them out at different times, or contacting your local travel agent to arrange flights. Although we can arrange pick-up and drop-off at both airports, we do advise hiring a car to get the best from the area – there is so much to see and so many beaches and activities accessible within quite short journeys. Try Auto Europe, Holiday Autos, Europa Rentacar, Solmar or Centuro and compare prices. Some offer cars at the airport, others will “shuttle-bus” you to their nearest office.
