This ideal location is quite stunning. Bahia de las Palmeras is one of only a few villas in the Costa Calida / Costa Blanca directly on the beach. With its 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it is ideal for the family get together or for 2 families sharing. The villa is in a quiet area of the famous La Manga Strip. But shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance. And if you're seeking entertainment, you'll find all the activity you could wish for here.
Large patio with sun awning and BBQ, with a private gate leading directly onto a daily-maintained beach. Being on the Mar Menor side of the La Manga strip, the water is partially enclosed by a causeway to the island, and so is very safe for children. The patio is ideal for 'al fresco' meals and outdoor living as it faces West. The sunsets can be fantastic!

The famous La Manga Strip is 18 kilometres long and divides the Mediterranean and Mar Menor - a fabulous lagoon, considered 'the world's largest swimming pool.' The water is calm and warm. The climate here is ideal - La Manga is amongst the sunniest areas in Spain. All this makes La Manga a paradise for sailors, and a centre for all kinds of nautical sports. Learn to dive, sail, waterski, canoe... or just relax by the beach and swim. There are are many local markets and festivals. Find out more by going to enmarmenor.net. You'll also find several marinas, plus everything else you'd expect - a wide range of restaurants, entertainment, boat hire, shops, supermarkets, hair dressers, chemists, banks... Find out more by going to links on La Manga.
Golf: The villa is ideally positioned for those whose holiday or break centres around the golf course. The famous La Manga Club with its 3 courses is a challenge and pleasure to all that play there. However within approximately 1 hour's drive there are 10 other courses to choose from varying in both type of course and the skill needed. You can take a ride on horseback or bicycle into the beautiful surrounding countryside. Or take a boat trip to any of Mar Menor's islands or along the coastline. And the ancient city of Cartagena is approximately half an hour's drive away. For more information go to murciaturistica.es.
Eating Out: Taste fresh and varied seafood caught in the morning by local fishermen. Or enjoy the locally famous Caldero - a traditional rice dish which is an old fishermen's favourite. Other specialities include salted tuna and roe, or the salty sweet Cierva Pie from San Javiera. Whatever you choose, you can eat healthily and enjoyably in La Manga. The variety of restaurants is amazing. Apart from Spanish cuisine you can eat fabulous steaks at the Argentine Steak House, or choose German, French, or Chinese cuisine. The variety is almost endless and the majority are within walking distance of the villa. Finally why not take the time to try the famous Spanish Tappas with a glass of wine, or select your own from a Bodegia at Los Belones, at www.bodegalosbelones.com
Murcia: La Costa Calida (the Warm Coast) rims the region of Murcia. Its climate is particularly temperate, with an average annual temperature of 17 °C, and can be as high as 21 °C June to September. Of special interest is the Mar Menor, the largest natural pool in the world, part of the Mediterranean, and a paradise for all types of water sports and with its fine-sand beaches. The region of Murcia, located between Valencia and Analgesia, is the site of powerful Carthaginian and roman settlements in antiquity while the long presence of the Moors determined its history throughout the Middle Ages. Famous today for its excellent fruit and vegetables. Murcia, the capital of the region, is located inland. Cartagena is the leading port in Murcia. Founded by the Carthaginians in 221 BC and originally named Carthago Nova, Cartagena has maintained its importance through the centuries. Its museum has excellent pre-Roman and Roman Collections.
