Only one minutes walk away is an excellent Masymas supermarket which means that it is not necessary to move far away for your meals but you would loose the opportunity to try some for the large variety of restaurants catering for all tastes in Guardamar.

Whether you are looking for a family holiday around the pool complex or beach or as a base for golf or to explore the variety of interesting and historic towns and villages this apartment is ideal.

Guardamar Area: Guardamar is a small Spanish coastal town on the edge of the Segura river. The town has an excellent variety of shops, restaurants and bars to cater for all tastes. The shops go from 'penny bazaar' shops selling a variety of goods to more upmarket clothing shops. There is a long esplanade if you like walking along the seafront where you can see wonderful sand sculptures being constantly looked after by their creators, on the other side are many restaurants and bars. There is also a landscaped park for your relaxation and an excellent sports complex with swimming pool, tennis and squash courts. On Wednesday there is a large street market selling a grest variety of goods from fruit and veg to clothing and household goods etc. On Sundays there is a 'flea market' and during the summer an evening market selling a variety of Spanish and ethnic goods.

.... The golden sandy beaches around Guardamar stretch for 17 Kms and are blue flag awarded. The Dunes de Guardamar which covers over 800 hectacres was planted in the late 1800s and early 1900s on sand which had been deposited by rhe river and the sea. It was planted to protect the town from the ingress of sand from the sea. Plants are still being grown to maintain these excellent woods in a plant nursery located near to the beach. Follow the river from Puerto Pinar by taking a walk alongside the river to a large marina which caters for boats of all sizes and has a very good restaurant and bar which is open to all and not restricted to users of the marina.

How to get there: Two airports are located within easy reach of Guardamar, Alicate 30 minutes and Murcia 40 minutes, Easy Jet, Ryanair, Monarch plus other airlines from different regions of the U.K. and Europe serve one or other or both of these airports. Transfers are available at local rates and we can arrange these for you, the alternative is to rent a car which is not always necessary as Guardamar is well served by buses or take the bus which involves a bus from Alicante airport to Alicante and then another bus to Guardamar.
