The property is on four floors: Basement has a double bed, a double bed settee and a small single bed (suitable for a child/teenager) and is equipped with drawers and hanging space First floor is open plan lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen, this floor also benefits from a shower room.

Second floor consists of an air conditioned master bedroom with a small balcony, twin bedroom and family bathroom. Third floor is a large roof terrace with sun loungers, barbecue and al fresco dining set. There is a second al fresco dining set in the walled front garden.

There is a second AL fresco dining set in the front garden. 2009 -We have replaced the front garden gates with a wall so the garden is now more private. Until recently we did have satellite TV. There has however been a problem in Spain and thousands of homes have lost the connection. We are endeavoring to rectify this as soon as possible but have installed a free view box which enables us to receive the Disney Channel, Sony and all Spanish channels.

Further details: Gran Alicant is a mainly residential area and therefore perfect for families. Within short walking distance there is a supermarket, two chinese, 1 steak house, a couple of Italian and a few Spanish retaurants. There is also a small square which has four bars an internet café and an English bakery. There are also a few banks, another bar, a pharmacy and other shops very near. A slightly longer walk 15/20 minutes will take you to other bars and restaurants and a 5 minute drive or 30/40 minute walk will take you to a commercial centre where there are other supermarkets, bars, restaurants and shops. The beach is within walking distance down a hill. This is however uphill on the way back but there is a bus service or you can take the tourist train which runs around the whole complaex. Car hire is desirable although not essential as the bus service will take you to Santa Pola and Alicante where you can then explore other areas by train/bus.

We found the house had everything we could of needed for our stay and found the furnishings comfortable. The air-con in the master bedroom was an absolute must and it would have been great to have it in the other rooms although we did use the fans. - The information you give to your guests was very helpful. .... The roof terrace was a nice place to chill out and take in the scenery. Really nice beach although killer of a walk back up the hill, I know you can get the bus back but we needed the exercise!! We found the square was always busy at nights and usually couldn't get a seat so we tended to have a walk to the Novamar Centre and had a few meals in the Carabassi Bar and also Joe' Fish and Chip place, we found the staff and the food in the Carabassi excellent. We also went to the Commercial Centre Gran Alacant on the bus and had a couple of meals there. I would also recommend Dragon 3 for a meal. We never managed to get on the Little train that went round the complex as it was always really full but did find the buses reasonably priced and very comfortable.

How to get there: Cheap flights available from www.Easyjet.co.uk to Alicante airport -journey from the airport is less than 15 minutes drive. Car hire available from http://www.fcrentacar.com/. There are always local taxis available - fare should be no more than 20 euros or we can arrange airport transfers. There is a train running through the whole of Gran Alicant. The fare is 1.5euro and it will take you to the beach, commercial centre, library etc. The complete journey takes 1 hour. There are also private taxis who will take you anywhere around Gran Alacant for around 5 euro.
