Gran Vista, a private-gated complex in 30,000m2 of beautiful gardens. The lawns & flower beds are meticulously kept and include olive and palm trees, hibiscus and bougainvillea. There are 4 swimming pools - 2 of them designated for children (life-guards operating in the summer months), 2 tennis courts, petanque courts, a children's play area with sand pit and a shop/ newsagent/ bar/ restaurant all on site, all overlooking the beach. The house is freshly decorated and furnished to a high standard and enjoys aircon./heating. On the first floor there is a large lounge with a stunning sea view. It has two large sofas with matching recliner, a coffee table, reading lamps and TV /DVD/CD player. In the dining area is a dresser, table and six matching chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a microwave, dishwasher and large fridge./freezer. Also on this floor is a newly appointed bathroom and a lovely garden room which leads outside to the private patio and garden.

On the third floor is the master bedroom with luxury king size bed and balcony with breathtaking panoramic views over the sea, mountains and the city of Alicante. There is also a twin bedded room and new bathroom with washing machine.,on this floor. On the lower floor, facing the sea, is another twin-bedded room with its own shower room and storage rooms in a very spacious hall which leads to the main entrance. Outside is a small garden and off-road parking for your car. We have recently bought this lovely house and have decorated throughout. Almost all the furniture is brand new including all the beds, bed-linen, towels, curtains, lighting and sofas. The dresser holds new crockery, cutlery, glasses, table cloths, table mats etc and the kitchen is fully stocked with new pots, pans, kettle, cafetiere and all the utensils you will need. There are 3 recently refurbished bathrooms.

Gran Alacant / Gran Vista Area: Fabulous unspoilt beaches approached through dunes. A protected nature reserve attracting all sorts of birds with viewing hides and towers available to all visitors. Many restaurants, all cuisines including Spanish, Indian, Chinese and British. Santa Pola, the port with boat trips to Illa de Tabarca and a flourishing Saturday morning market for your bargains. Theme Park, Terra Mitica and water park, Aqualandia are within half an hour on the motorway towards Benidorm.

The Costa Blanca / Alicante Region: This area of the Costa Blanca is described by the World Health Organisation as having the healthiest climate in Europe. 350 days of sunshine is quoted, however note the weather in UK and add on 10 degrees, this will be fairly accurate! Alicante, the principal city of the Costa Blanca, founded by the moors in the 8th Century is a port and seaside resort built around a natural harbour. Well worth visiting are the Marina, Castillo Santa Barbara, the museum, art galleries, the neo-classical theatre, the famous Esplanada d'Espana as well as the great shops, restaurants and tapas bars. The flamingos on the salinas (salt lakes) at Santa Pola are a unique feature (5 min.away). Inland, towns like Elche with it's Palms, Crevillente with it's fabulous rugs, Guadalest and Polop for their scenery, are all within easy driving distance when you fancy a change from relaxing in Gran Vista.

.... Coastal resorts, from the famous Mar Menor and La Manga to the south and Altea, Benidorm,Javea and Valencia in the north, are all between 1 and 2 hours away. The more ambitious explorers, like us, can visit fabulous Granada and its Alhambra Palace or the Don Quixote trail to Toledo and Madrid, all within 3 hours by car.
