Lovely 110sqm villa on hillside overlooking Elche, Costa Blanca
Villa Sole e Mare is located in a residential area of Elche, Costa Blanca on a hillside called "Pena de las Aguilas" with lovely views over the countryside and the town, particularly from the villa's large roof terrace . A peaceful area, far from the beaten tourist track. Shops and a bus stop are within easy walking distance while the city centre, malls, supermarkets, restaurants, banks are just over 5 minutes by car. Beautiful sandy beaches are only 13 km away from the property and if you want to visit Alicante, the motorway will get you there in no more than 25 minutes and Benidorm in under an hour. A stay at Villa Sole mare can offer something for everyone.
At the front of the villa is a lovely, spacious verandah with table, chairs and loungers overlooking the garden and pool. Here is the main entrance to the house which is divided into a day wing and night wing.As you come in to the entrance hall you will find the day wing on your left consisting of: a spacious fully equipped and fitted kitchen with all modern appliances and separate laundry room with washing machine. Next is the dining room with large table and seating for 6. The bright and airy lounge is furnished with two comfy sofas, bookcase, coffee tables and a lovely fireplace and air-conditioning units.The night wing consists of: a master bedroom with queen size bed, two more bedrooms both with twin beds. All bed linen is provided. The bathroom has bath and shower. The 18x7m swimming pool can be filled by tenants using a special water cistern which also provides irrigation for the garden. There is a sun bathing area with deck chairs and sun loungers next to the pool as well as a changing room and bathroom with showers. To the side of the house is a patio area with BBQ for outdoor cooking. There is a car park with sun shelter for 3 cars. The whole property of 3000sq meters is fenced and has an automatic gate and therefore quite private and secluded.

Elche is the second largest city after Alicante in the Valencian Costa Blanca region. Acknowledged as the ‘The City of Palms,’ this town has the only Palm forest in Europe, declared as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. Elche is within easy reach of almost all popular tourist destinations in Costa Blanca: only a 25 minute drive from Alicante; 20 minutes from the popular seaside resort of Torrevieja and a 1 hour drive from Benidorm with its theme parks, lively night life and array of tourist facilities. There is a twelve kilometer stretch of golden beaches a fifteen minute drive away from the city in the localities of Santa Pola, Guardamar del Segura, El Atlet and Marina. Some offer a variety of water sports like surfing, diving, sailing and excursions to Tabarca Island. Other beaches are stretches of secluded dunes lined with pine trees. Elche hosts a variety of fiestas, including Palm Sunday, The Hallelujas, Fiestas of the Virgin’s Arrival, and Nit de l’Alba.
Elche has a prosperous history dating back to the times of Iberian and is home to many histrorical sites: Altamira Castle, Baños Arabes (Arabic Baths), Basilica of Santa Maria, Calahorra tower, the last relic of the old city walls,Convento de la Merced to name a few. In addition, excellent options are available for nature as well as wildlife lovers, such as El Honda Nature Park and Clot de Galvany. The city’s gastronomy is mainly Valencian in style and fish dishes are predominant. However there is a wide variety of restaurants serving different cuisines to suit every taste. Lying on the eastern coast of Spain, the Costa Blanca draws millions of tourists each year to its turquoise waters and miles of white sandy beaches. Alicante is the capital and major city on this stretch of coast. However there is more to the Costa Blanca than beach resorts – within the mountainous interior are some fascinating medieval towns and fortified villages which are largely unaffected by modern life.

The master bedroom has an air-conditioning unit and the twin bedrooms have ceiling fans. The twin beds can be put together to make double beds - all the necessary bed linen is provided. There is no central heating, but if there is a cold spell in winter, which is exceptionally rare in Elche, then 3 portable heaters are available for the bedrooms.

The dining room is between the kitchen and lounge and has a dining table which comfortably seats 6 people. Cutlery, dinner service (plates, bowls, dishes etc), glass ware are provided.
