Corvera Golf and Country Club is a luxury resort, offering visitors a multitude of sporting and cultural opportunities. The 18 hole, par 72, International Competition standard golf course was designed by Jose Maria Olazabal and there is a practice course and a driving range with covered pergola. The complex offers two tennis courts, two paddle tennis courts, a multi-purpose sports court for basketball, five-a-side football and handball, a children's play area and a petanque terrain, as well as a large number of swimming pools all beautifully planted and maintained. The Equestrian centre is set up for trekking and jumping, and is already home to some 6/8 horses and 3 ponies. A resident riding instructor is available for lessons and advice. Local competitions are starting to take place at this prestigious facility. There are biking and walking trails around the resort and into the surrounding nature reserve.

Each area of the resort has private gardens and bathing areas and communal swimming pools. This apartment is located on the second floor of block 13 on the 'island' which has 11 swimming pools and children's pools and playgrounds for use by guests. The elevated terrace provides wonderful breezes and affords views over to the 18th hole and private gardens and pools.

Driving North from Corvera, you will find the lively holiday resorts of Torrevieja, Guardamar and Alicante. Here you will find beaches, shops and restaurants. Driving South you will come to the historic port of Cartegena with its Roman ruins and museums and ancient port area which has been beautifully restored to its former glory and is a joy to walk around or while away a lunch time at one of the port-side restaurants watching the boats come in. Murcia city is described as one of the most beautiful and historic cities in the country. The city stands on the bank of the river and enjoys year round sunshine. Murcia is famed for its ancient monuments and churches but has recently built a modern shopping mecca and cinema complex on the outskirts of the city known as Nuevo Condomina,and a new football stadium. Murcia is also the site of the new Ikea store.

The warm waters of the Mar Menor are only 20 minutes away by car. The concentration of salts in this shallow lagoon are renowned for their health giving properties and the area is typically Spanish and unspoiled bt tourism. The beaches further North in Alicante province have long been popular holiday destinations and boast many shops, restaurants and sea fronts. The port area of Alicante has recently been renovated to create some lovely promenades. Santiago de la Ribera has a lovely beach and marina and you can catch the ferry from here to La Manga which takes about 1 hour. Los Alcazares has a very pretty palm lined promenade with many cafes and bars. Typically Spanish in atmosphere it has a wonderful beach which is safe for children.
