For your complete local convenience , there is a large Aldi supermarket, bars, cafes, restaurants & a variety of shops as well as a bank with an ATM machine, all within a 3 minute walk. Within a 5 minute drive, there are many other bars, restaurants & leisure facilities for you to enjoy. On the coast, a feature area is the Cabo Roig 'strip'. Situated on & around the coastal road, it has a lovely atmosphere in the evening with excellent restaurants, bars & shopping opportunities! After a relaxing meal, why not take a stroll along the newly built coastal walkway, with fabulous clifftop views of the setting sun over the Mediterranean Sea, the Cabo Roig marina & Mar Menor in the distance. There are many other interesting things to do & see. |

The Costa Blanca South region: The Costa Blanca region, with over 320 days of sunshine and its healthy micro-climate, is rated as one of the best places in the world to live. It is also ideal for all types of holiday, whether it be lazing on a beach, golfing or exploring the inland villages and the larger historical towns such as Murcia, Orihuela and Cartagena. The region, flanked by mountains in the west and the Med to the east, offers a diverse range of cuisine and cultural activities aimed at satisfying the needs of even the most discerning travellers. Torrevieja started as a small fishing port/village but has grown over the years to become a large cosmopolitan town. The town has a great selection of shops to browse but do remember this is Spain and siestas are still the norm, so go in early and stay for lunch or go late and stay for dinner! The excellent town market is held on Fridays. The beautiful marina, filled with some very 'swish' yachts and the long promenade lined with restaurants and bars, are the perfect place to sit, relax and watch the world go by, whilst enjoying either an alfresco drink or meal. This area is also the home of the famous 'salt lagoons', huge mounds of the snow-white salt, waits expectantly to be loaded onto ships and exported world-wide. These lagoons are also home to large flocks of flamingoes and many other migratory birds. There are many excursions available, including a lovely boat trip from the port to the Isle of Tabarca and fun days out to the Aquapolis Water Park. Orihuela Costa: Campoamor Orihuela Costa actually lies around 20kms from the city of Orihuela, which is a city, inland. Orihuela Costa is made up of nearly 16kms of fine sandy Blue Flag beaches, with rocky coves and sparkling clear waters, running from Punta Prima in the North to Mil Palmeras in the South. It is one of the most popular destinations in the region for a summer holiday, attracting visitors from all over Europe who are attracted by the wonderful beaches, the fine climate and the abundance of facilities and entertainment. Campoamor is one of four resorts dotted along the N332 coastal road between Torrevieja and Pilar de la Horadada and all are easily accessed from local roads. Campoamor has two super beaches and some excellent facilities and is also within easy reach of the fabulous Cabo Roig strip with its great choice of bars and restaurants. .... In addition, there are several nature parks within a 1 hours drive (the nearest is just off the N332 at La Mata) all of which offer the opportunity to view a diverse range of wildlife, within their own habitat. 'Costa Blanca' literally translated into English means 'White Coast' reflecting the beautiful Blue Flag beaches that lie all along the coastline. From small coves to mile-long stretches of glorious golden sand, excellent for paddling; swimming; body surfing; snorkelling; pedaloes; jet-skis; banana boat rides (for the truly brave!) plus other seasonal activities. For kite surfing enthusiasts, the beach of Playa de Campomar, which is over 1 mile long! (15mins from the apartment), boasts a designated area for the sport and includes a specialist shop, where you can buy those much needed accessories or you can just hang out and chat with fellow surfers. Other activities locally available (within 15mins of the property) include; horse-riding , go-karting, restaurants, bars & shops! How to get there: - Fly to Alicante - Campoamor is around 40 minutes from Alicante airport. - Fly to Murcia - Campoamor is just 15minutes from Murcia San Xavier airport. - Full directions will be sent with confirmation of booking. - Flights available to Alicante from British Airways;BMI;Easyjet; Excel; Monarch; Thomson; - Flights to Murcia from Easyjet; Excel; Flybe; Ryanair. - The use of car hire is strongly recommended and a choice of companies are available from either airport, although there are buses and taxis available. Car hire is recommended from www.carjet.co.uk or www.DoYouSpain.com - all inclusive rates which are extremely competitive. Our local agent is also able to provide airport pickup's/drop off's at very competitive rates plus other trips, by arrangement.
