There are many secluded coves with beautiful beaches at Calella, Tamariu and Llafranc which are well worth a visit. The countryside is ideal for walking and cycling and there are numerous golf courses within the area some of which are championship standard. The lively town of Platja D'Aro is less than 10km away with a vibrant night life, numerous clubs, bars and restaurants. The 'Aquadiver' water park is 5km from the villa. For those who want a quieter time, the fishing town of Palamos is 5km away and has a host of shops, bars and restaurants which cater for all tastes. The medieval town of Calonge is within walking distance from the villa. Figueres, home of the Dali museum, is an hours drive towards the north and Barcelona is 100km to the south. For that get away from it all feeling, the south facing garden backs onto the River Molina with wooded hills behind providing a perfect tranquil setting for dinner and a glass of wine 'al fresco'. The living accommodation on a single level with a lower level laundry room. The villa offers accommodation for 6 people. The lounge is furnished with two large sofas, a flat screen TV with DVD player and UK/European satellite TV and a stereo system. The dining room opens onto the rear terrace and a covered side terrace with a table and 4 chairs. The dining room has a large table and 8 chairs for those rare evenings when you might have to eat inside. The kitchen is fully fitted with a dishwasher and fridge freezer. Externally the upper paved terrace has a table and seating for 6 people and a built-in barbeque. A set of steps leads down to the pool area surrounded by lawns and a landscaped rockery. Six sunloungers are provided as well as a selection of garden chairs- all to enable you to relax

Golf: The Costa Brava boasts several excellent golf courses with some of the best in Europe. All are within driving distance, the furthest being about an hour and a half’s drive. Costa Brava - The club is surrounded by pines and cork oaks, with flat terrain and wide fairways; Mas Nou (D'Aro) - This course has been built at the very top of Mas Nou with fantastic views in one direction towards the Pyrenees and the opposite direction across the bay towards San Feliu de Guixols; Peralada - Open course on flattish terrain where small olive trees line most of the fairways (one and a half hours drive); Platja de Pals – One of the finest in the area set amongst a pine forest with tree lined fairways; Girona - Sweeping valleys of forest pines and pine trees, with mostly elevated tee positions (one hour drive); PGA Golf De Catalunya – two courses, the old course which is particularly tricky. Emporda - two courses, either links or the forest course with tree lined fairways and several large lakes.
