Don Joaquin is situated half way down a one way street , the Avda Mar y Sol, at the 'Marina' end of Benalmadena Costa , yet only 5 minutes walk from most of the shops, supermarkets, restaurants and the Marina. My apartment is my second home and was not intended initially to be used for holiday lets, so is fully equipped to a very high standard and offers luxury air conditioned/centrally heated accommodation which sleeps four comfortably. It is on the 2nd floor next to the lift. From the large private, west facing terrace, there are views of the mountains and it also overlooks the communal pool. The balcony has the sun from mid-day until sun-set, so is ideally situated for dinner on the terrace in the setting sun.

The complex is quiet, friendly with a well maintained good sized swimming pool. Surrounding the complex are pretty gardens.

Don Joaquin is a small complex, built eight years ago to a high specification, consisting of two blocks of apartments, four storeys high, in a quiet location, but within a ten minute walk of all the attractions, and beaches. The stunning Marina, voted one of the best in Europe, with designer shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, is just a short walk from the apartment. Benalmadena is a cosmopolitan town with many attractions, including Tivoli World, a water park, with a good choice of beaches providing sunbeds and parasols. Along the long pedestrian promenade immediately behind the beaches are souvenir shops and cafes and restaurants with varied menus and reasonable prices.

Further Information: Turn right out of Don Joaquin, and a short walk takes you to Arroyo de la Miel, a typical Spanish town, with lots of shops, including leather and numerous inexpensive shoe shops. Every Friday there is a large market which is just the place to go bargain hunting, for gifts, clothes, fruit, vegetables and flowers, at knock down prices. Here also you will be able to catch a train to take you along the coast in clean, punctual,low cost trains. The bus stop for all buses along the coast in both directions, stops just a few hundred yards from the apartment. This is also the stop for coach excursions, to take you to Marbella, Gibralter, or up in the mountains to Mijas or the historic town of Ronda. The nearest supermarket 'Supersol' is just five minutes away with its splendid variety of goods and just about anything you could get in the UK
