Almerimar / Alta Entinas Area: Almerimar, a quaint marina town and fishing port, 35 kms to the west of the City of Almeria, brings together a soothing mix of relaxation, natural beauty and harmony. Head to the port and fishing harbour for unrelenting views of the Med and enjoy some of the local fine cuisine. Golf Almerimar is one of the oldest and most played courses in southern Spain. Everything from clubs to buggies can be hired! Look out for next year's Festival of theatre in nearby El Ejido or for those requiring more of a 'kick', head for Creamfields also located this year in El Ejido, only a ten minute drive away.
